Embracing the Hidden Order: Insights from Jung, Heer, and Chaos Theory

Writer: Holy-Lighted Rose Holy-Lighted Rose

“In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order.”

Carl Jung’s insights into the interplay of chaos and order provide a profound understanding of the human psyche and the universe. Jung delves into the depths of the human psyche, explaining that beneath our personal experiences lies the “collective unconscious,” a shared layer of the mind shaped by our evolutionary past. He points out that “every civilized human being, whatever his conscious development, is still an archaic man at the deeper levels of his psyche.” Just as our bodies retain remnants of earlier evolutionary stages, our psyche carries archaic traits from our ancestors. This collective unconscious, filled with these traits and instincts, connects us to our primal origins. Understanding this can help us recognize that the chaos within our psyche is part of a larger, organized process of human evolution.

A key aspect of Jung’s theory is distinguishing between the personal unconscious and the collective unconscious.

The personal unconscious comprises individual experiences and memories, while the collective unconscious contains universal, inborn elements shared by all humans. He states, “The great decisions of human life have as a rule far more to do with the instincts and other mysterious unconscious factors than with conscious will and well-meaning reasonableness.” This leaves us with a question mark that our deepest motivations may often stem from the collective unconscious rather than rational thought, or free will-unless this fact is consciously considered to choose and create new fields of possibilities moment by moment.

Dr. Dain Heer, co-founder of Access Consciousness, adds another perspective to this discourse by emphasizing the transformative potential of chaos (aka ego death) in human life.

He suggests that our obsession with preserving order unconsciously creates limitations, cycles and loops preventing us from radically stopping making ourselves wrong and letting our truest essence to contribute to our human lives to actualize the unique potentials, gifts, magic and miracle we truly be without rejecting any part of the process or ourselves. And by changing the points of views we bought with the primal instinct of surviving unconsciously to demonize and avoid chaos, change and uncertainity; and making new choices to expand our consciousness (to choose from excitement rather than fear) into how chaos functions from a way broader perspective in the universe, we can unlock greater creativity and possibilities for truly being the change.

To support this perspective scientifically, we can look to chaos theory. Chaos theory studies complex systems whose behavior is highly sensitive to slight changes in conditions, making their future behavior difficult to predict. This sensitivity to initial conditions is often referred to as the “butterfly effect,” where small changes can lead to vastly different outcomes.

Despite this unpredictability, chaos theory reveals underlying patterns, order, and structure within chaotic systems. Chaos theory also highlights the concept of “strange attractors,” which are patterns that emerge over time in chaotic systems.

These attractors show that chaotic systems tend to evolve towards certain behaviors or structures, reflecting an underlying order. This aligns with Jung’s belief in the cosmos within chaos and suggests that even the most unpredictable systems have a form of organization.

And if we look at where “love” is located in the middle of all these reflections of “chaos” we can look at this reflection: Motherly love in fact capture the dual nature of tenderness and intensity, joy and pain, without labelling one another as positive or negative.

Jung describes it as the mysterious root of all growth and change; the love that means homecoming, shelter, and the long silence from which everything begins and in which everything ends. This mirrors the interplay of chaos and order in life. Motherly love is a primal experience that roots us in the natural cycle of creation, embodying the essence of both chaos and order.

So here’s an Access consciousness process to alchemize the shadow aspect of chaos (lower down all your walls and barriers before reading, please):

Any point of view you bought to associate chaos and brutal destruction, will you now destroy and uncreate this, please?

Anything that is, times of godzillion: Right &e wrong, good &e bad, POD &e POC, all 9, shorts, boys, POVADs, and beyonds.

Here’s one more:

How many judgements do you have of chaos that keep you from using it to create a greater being and living that you’ve ever had before and ever thought possible?

Anything that is, times of godzillion: Right &e wrong, good &e bad, POD & POC, all 9, shorts, boys, POVADs, and beyonds.

Ok, just one more!

What is possible for you with being the unique gift you are and allowing this awareness to reorder your life with total ease, allowance and trust that you don’t think is ever possible that if you allowed the possibility would actualize a different reality?

Do you think all these sound a bit mindf*cking? And then it’s great!

Anything that is, times of godzillion: Right &e wrong, good & bad, POD & POC, all 9, shorts, boys, POVADs, and beyonds.

I honour the love within you. <3
